PRACTICING THERAPISTS

The Renew counseling staff brings over 80 years of experience together helping the community. Strengthen. Change. Renew.

Faith Carlson

I am deeply passionate about supporting others in their brave journey towards healing and a genuine inner connection so that my clients can leave therapy with enriching and lasting personal and interpersonal lives. In specializing with eating disorders, I support my clients in understanding that food isn’t only a gateway to our physical health, but also our mental, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I apply Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Emotion-Focused therapy approaches to help my clients gain awareness and process the feelings, thoughts, and subconscious patterns that result in behaviors that may cause distress and disruption in their lives.

My areas of specialty include eating disorders including the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating. I also support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, body-image issues, self-esteem issues, relational and interpersonal struggles, and personal growth.

I believe that everyone has the capacity for healing and a deeper understanding of and compassion for their authentic self. It is a human right to live a life full of purpose, meaning and inner freedom, and it’s truly fulfilling for me to facilitate the appropriate space for such self-exploration and discovery to occur.
